The primary club level positions available are Personal Trainer and General Manager‑here is a brief description of each position:

Personal Trainers

Personal Trainers are responsible for our member program design and supervision. Personal Trainers typically earn a base compensation between $15 to $25 per hour. In addition, they receive commissions from their personal sales that is derived from renewals and referrals. For those trainers who excel in customer satisfaction and member retention, commissions can easily increase your effective rate to over $30 per hour. As an employee and not an independent contractor, California Peak Fitness takes care of all insurance and tax concerns, and provides your members for you. Top performing personal trainers who exhibit exceptional leadership ability and drive have many opportunities for advancement within our organization.

General Managers

General Managers oversee the personal training department in one location, are responsible for sales and managing the personal training staff. For individuals with lacking a sales background, CPF has a simple, easy‑to‑learn, and proven sales system that anyone with good fundamental fitness knowledge can master. General Managers earn salary (between $1,280 and $2,000 per month), plus commission and bonus; currently, the average General Manager earns between $55,000 and $60,000 annually, while our top performers approach $80,000 per year. Top performing General Managers who demonstrate leadership ability have the opportunity for advancement to one of our upper‑level sales management positions.
